We hope to be starting our Love to Move class again in November. In the meantime, British Gymnastics Foundation has launched an on-line video session with Kim Hall the British Gymnastics Foundation Love to Move Lead Deliverer. Follow the link below to join Kim in a session. There is a short introduction and the class follows after that!

About Love to Move
Love to Move is a chair-based age and dementia friendly gymnastics exercise programme developed by the British Gymnastics Foundation.
History of Love to Move
The programme has been brought over from Japan and is so successful in Japan that it is state funded and taking place in every care home across the country.
The programme:-
- Improves cognitive function
- Help reduce depression in participants
- Improve balance
- Improve the ability to undertake activities for daily living
Why try Love to Move?
The Love to Move programme is specially designed to get older people moving and functioning better. Other benefits include:
- Social interaction
- Memory stimulation
- Physical including coordination, balance, core strength, and flexibility
Class content
The class starts with a gentle warm-up and includes, fine motor skills, clapping rhymes, spoken rhymes, strengthening, bilateral asymmetric patterns, movement through visualisation and cognition, games, partner work and a cool down.
How to join
If you would like to join our Love to Move class, please call 07703 599 558. Before taking part in a class a “Fit to Participate” form will need to be completed by all participants including any carers, this can either be sent to you or you can complete it before the class.
